A good lead page can grow lists, boost sales and even generate passive income while you’re working on growing other parts of your business.

What is a lead page?

A lead page is a webpage that is designed with a specific audience in mind paired with an offer for that specific audience.

So basic, yet so intricate.

Lead pages are not typically part of your website navigation menu. Rather, lead pages draw in specific audiences by way of a more targeted organic search, social media views, or paid advertising.

Knowing your audience is the most important factor.

When you know your audience demographics, you can build a story and offer around the specific transformation they are seeking. Remember, you can have a lead page for every type of audience demographic. The possibilities are endless and soon you will really be able to dial in your focus to your most profitable audiences.

Lead page content requires empathy.

For every variation of your audience sector, you must understand what kind of transformation they are seeking. Tell them how you empathize with their problem… and the repercussions.

Then, give them a real-life example of how you have helped guide someone out of a similar situation.

Make sure that at least 80% of the content is about them and not you. This will keep their attention and increase trust because they can tell that you “get” them.

Offer up some value.

Can you help them with something small right now?

I say “small” because you are just asking for them to take the first step.

This “first step” could be filling out a form for a free resource, consultation, downloadable coupon, or any item that will give them a head start on achieving the transformation they seek.

Remember, your products and services are simply a vehicle. What consumers are REALLY buying is the transformation so everything you say should tie back to that transformation.

Get rewarded for your help.

Getting people to take that “first step” is a big deal! Now they are in your circle of persuasion. They are interested and ready to listen.

You may even have another follow-up or up-sale offer for them later. The possibilities are exciting and unique for everyone.
